WATERSIDE LADIES HOCKEY CLUB
Right here goes to writting an epic match report like Silky, I can safely say mine will be mint well it is after eight.
The question on eveyones lips in the changing rooms was – was Trojans going to send out their first team players to play against the mighty Siders? Looking at the young puppies on pitch it was a no. According to Cherry it was all about the “comms” in the dice five warm up! With todays line up consisting of Coolio, Cherry, Nat, Tina, Abi, Jude, Nash, Daisy, Emma, a Gay Les Bo, and three yes three Newmans Lou, Joey and Becca as one of our super subs rolling on and off. Tick that’s eveyone mentioned.
It didn’t start well for us Siders with a short ass blonde slipping through the defenders to dirty Tina’s sheets within the first 5 mins. But after numerous attempts from the Siders and Joey’s magnificent shot bouncing off the post we called upon our top goal scorer to come on from the side line to even up the score before the half time whistle went.
Second half consisted of a gymnastic performance from Cherry showing us a few roly-poly moves, the odd swear word may have slipt from us Siders no name need be mentioned lol. A hell of alot of short corners were taken from Trojans, us Siders could have ran a marathon the time they were taking over these short corners but eventually one paid off for them with a shot getting through Tina’s legs. A brilliant decision by Steve to substitute Nat for Joey in the last 10 mins, set the gazelle free to run straight onto pitch picking up the ball from the half way line she was in that D in seconds passing across goal for Coolio to tap in or was it their defender shhhh. That wiped the smiles from Trojans faces finishing with a 2-2 draw and a point to Siders.
A mass debate was had over dirty sausages for a new position of “ball bag monitor” well done Em no more balls being left at the pub and a badge could be on its way bonus. A seven horse race awarded me as POM gaining me an awesome mini badge and sawn off hockey stick to display for a week plus writing this magnificent match report.
Over and out from Nat
