On a chilly, winters day , Waterside headed north on the M3 . One enjoyed the scenic route through Hartley Witney and considered putting Coolio on a train so that we could get a very lovely Christmas tree on the way back .

Anyway , back to the hockey …
we eventually found the new Astro pitch – surrounded by ice !

With a hearty grrrr we started the game well with some nice one- twos and even threes!
After 1 minute, play was stopped for a team strip … change !
We rolled on , we rolled off , we rolled out and some of us rolled over !
Scrappy here and there … both teams probed with nothing incisive. After several saves – and goal mouth scrambles – the ball fell more kindly to Yateley for both of their goals . I had to make several consecutive saves – on many parts of my body including a good tummy / tit combo !

Real Waterside pressure at the end really deserved at least one or two goals !
Great battling and grrr ! We was robbed … now for a good night out where we will all reinact the ‘Tina thrust ‘ as part of our group dance … nice !
