Waterside arrived at Trojans all revved up and ready to go. Some of us got there a lot earlier than others showing dedication to the cause.
We woke up 5 minutes into the game to find ourselves 2-0 down! What was going on? Slowly but surely we started to pull it back together but it was just not our day. How unlucky can one team be?
There were lovely 1-2s, Dudley dazzled in defence shielding the ball well and making clearances off the line. Tackles galore came from Gaynor, Nat and Chez and Tina fended the opposition off repeatedly with stick, pad and kicker. In midfield Esther would pass to Becca who kept breaking through and with strong support from Kate and Jude there were crosses fired into the D to find Daisy on the post, Abs ready to run or Joey working her magic round the defender to pass to Katie for a shot!
Alas……..we were denied every time…….apart form when we won the second half!!!  Wahoooooo!
We left it to the youngest Newman to sum up how we felt as she left it all on the pitch, well, maybe just a little bit – most of it went in the potty!
