A wet morning saw a strong siders line up take on Southampton 4’s at home.
The first half saw most of the pressure come from the siders with chance after chance for a goal going begging….that ball just did not want to go in!

A bit of a wake up moment with soton hitting the post and some brave defending from Emma meant that Tina’s clean sheet was kept intact…the same could not be said for Emma’s finger!

Shortly before half time the dead lock was broken when Becca slotted one past the goalie from a well worked short corner.

The second half was much improved and the siders started to play a much better passing game. Kate and Dudley kept the width and Gaynor supported well from behind (chuckle) switching play regularly around the back.

Great link up play between Coolio Emma and Becca meant Joey and Marie saw plenty of the ball. All Marie’s efforts in the first half were rewarded with a goal and joey got her hatrick kick started by demanding a no 4 short corner…”I told u I had loads of room!”

Coolio and Emma were impenetrable shields today and both always seemed to be in the right position! Tina was called into action late in the half as she protected her clean sheet alarmingly far away from her goal line!

Becca added another goal to her tally meaning a solid victory for the siders 6-0. With Haslemere drawing today Siders now go top of the league with 2 clear points!!!

POM today was Emma, very well deserved.
