In a cliffhanger of a match the Waterside ladies got off to a fantastic start. Taking inspiration from Becca’s return to the pitch we had a 2-0 lead by half time keeping the momentum from last week’s opener. 
Pompey however had other ideas and pushed us hard in the second half. Lizzie marked her man, Dudley and Sarah ran themselves ragged, and the forwards rotated to keep it fresh up front but somehow they snuck past us twice. 

Time ticked on and both sides pushed hard. With 42 seconds left on the clock Joey took the ball at the top of the D, she shoots……..SHE SCORES! (And skips off in celebration) 

No need for the TMO here. A 3-2 win to the Siders.
