Once upon a time, in a land not so far away from the Solent, the watersiders strolled onto the pitch to face the Southampton 3’s in a clash of the titan style game. Another inspirational talk from Linda helped to set the siders up for the match and once the pitch had partially defrosted, the watersiders were off!

After pausing time for two injuries, the watersiders were off to a shaky start. But soon got into the rhythm of play, and there were some lovely passes made across the defence between Nat, (a mildly hungover) Esther and Cherry. Emma and Coolio (i.e. the shields) and Katie ran impressively across the pitch, and alongside the forwards, managed to steal four short corners. Unfortunately the short corners did not secure any goals…. Yet.

At half time, and still 0 – 0, another pep talk from the siders coach rallied them for the second half. After the frosty start to the match the watersiders soon paved the way towards a goal. Katie assisted the goal passing it to Marie who made the winning shot, making it 1-0 to the away team. After this marvellous goal, the siders soon had to run back and defend the many attempts from the opposition to equalize the score. But the Southampton team were no match for Tina the Titan goalie who saved all attempts at goal, giving the goalie her first clean sheet of the league.
And at the end of the match they all lived happily ever after… well apart from Southampton 3’s…

And Boom! That’s how it’s done (again!)
