The watery sun was dappling through the autumnal trees when watersiders rocked up to play top of the table. An inspirational speech with visual aids from Linda gave us the spirit and belief that we could defeat the undefeatable (well almost undefeatable, they’ve only lost one game).

Watersiders got straight to playing their own game, passing with speed up the pitch and holding possession, riling fareham and causing frustrated barks from their coach. Esther kept her cool at the back as she fired up the pitch, a run by joey (I’m back baby!) got us a short corner where a beautifully executed number 5 from chez to Katie to coolio scored us a cracking first goal. Half time whistle was a welcome relief!

Quickly into the second half fareham scored a flukey goal but watersiders fought on, fought hard and a fab run by Alex and Abbie got us into the D where a cross to Katie got her her second goal (possibly touched in by Abbie but goal line technology is still being consulted on that one) and we held off to make an awe inspiring sensational win against the top of the league. Boom.
