So today’s game against Aldershot and Farnham did not start so well, with an already depleted squad, Katie and cherry where forced to pulled through injury and illness. So it was left to the ‘tremendous ten’ and then after the break ‘knackered nine’ to wave the flag for waterside, that although the nicest team on the south coast might have to get nasty if player commitment doesn’t improve.

As the whistle blew Kate was finally awake and we took the game to the opposition creating serval chances in the first half and having a lions share of the ball, we were denied 3/4 goals by their goalie who was on fire (bugger) but our goalie Tina was making some equally good stops at the other end, so a stalemate at half time.

As Coolio shot off to join the tour du forest, the knackered nine carried on battling and after 13 mins of second half got a goal, great struck from Becca set up by the one POM vote Esther! There was some real belief that we could hold on and get a deserved victory we were playing much better hockey than them our coach was not shouting bullsh&£t constantly and we looked great in out new kit!! However a cruel deflected goal let them back in the match and with 2 players short we just couldn’t hang on. 1-3 final score.
