It was goals galore in this end to end clash of the day. If carling were presenting match of the day in the hockey world this would ‘ probably’ be the opening match such was the high pace and goal action.

It was a disappointing result that did not reflect the fight and improved second half from the siders.

The new formation is already becoming more familiar and up front the newly named Stuart Little earnt her POM award with 2 splendid goals and an assist also.

The game was evenly matched and it was literally goal for goal in this tight score line. The Winchester forwards nipped behind the defence on a few occasions and finished well. Siders continued to battle back and pushed them right to the wire.

A draw would have been a fair result… But it was a case of close but no cigar! A bit more aggression up front and tightness at the back and the team will be climbing up the league in no time. The triangular play is looking good to spectators so the results will happen
