A tale of two hockey gods

As the ‘sider’s’ lined up against Amazingstoke, a player light, they still believed a result was possible (something Sir Alex taught them). The first half produced a brilliant performance from the ten strong team not showing they were a player short they moved the ball into wide areas at ease, the only thing eluding them was a goal. Emma came closest hitting the post with a strong shot. Jo dominated the mid field continually carving out openings. While at the other end a god from a bygone era had returned and proved she has lost none of her nouse in goal. She ponced on a through ball with a driving save to present a certain tap in, followed by a superb reaction save keeping the score line 0-0 at half time and proving she is indeed still a self proclaimed hockey god. (Thanks for stepping in we really appreciate it Tracy hope u don’t ache too much tomorrow)

In this tale of two hockey god up stepped another ‘Esther’ continuing from her fine first half performance she played with power and precision in midfield and lead the fight to the final whistle. This player of high skill and tenacity is often overlooked when counting the POM votes but not today my friend. Yes you broke your duck and got the trophy! Cherish that boy if history is anything to go by you won’t see it again for awhile ;).

We will ignore the score line and just congratulate ourselves on a good performance all round, Coolio, cherry, Esther, Tracy, Jo, Katie, Abbie, Kelly, becca, Emma and Nat well done!

Nat have a great trip to New Zeland the team will miss you.
